Log into SynergyCP. This can be accomplished with either of the "Manage on SynergyCP" links while viewing details for your server.
Once inside SynergyCP, click the Launch KVM button:
Further details on the use of our KVM console interface can be found in the following link: IPMI KVM Console Help
Once you have the KVM console window open, click Virtual Media, followed by Virtual Storage:
Under drive type, select ISO:
Please be advised that the ISO File option may appear under one of the difference device tabs instead of Device1.
Please be advised that our BMC network does not have Internet access, and options like Web ISO will not work.
Please be advised that some BMCs will show myriad different options, like IMA or floppy. The only option known to work consistently, and the only option within the scope of this article, is an ISO on your personal computer.
After selecting the ISO on your personal computer, click Plug In:
Ensure you get some kind of success message like "OK!!".
Reboot the server. Press F11 for boot menu when prompted:
If you never see a message like this, press F11 during boot anyway, as it's the key for boot menu on most servers.
We strongly recommend using the Virtual Keyboard found under Virtual Media, and pressing F11 there:
This ensures that F11 is truly being sent to the server, which is especially important on keyboards or laptops where the function keys may be media keys by default.
Scroll down to the Virtual CDROM entry, and press enter:
Your chosen ISO streams from your personal computer and proceeds to boot. From here, the remainder of the install process is the same as if you had a USB stick or CD-ROM inserted in a local physical computer.
